The Shire
Country Park is a green corridor covering over 160
acres rich in wildlife, meandering along the River Cole walkway from the boundary with
Solihull just beyond Priory Fields Local Nature Reserve, through Trittiford Mill Pool and
The Dingles, past Sarehole Mill, through Greet Mill Meadows and on past Burbury Brickworks
to the Ackers Trust in Small Heath where it continues along The Project Kingfisher
Walkway. It incorporates the nearby Moseley Bog and Chinn Brook Recreation Ground.
